Be Careful!!!

VAIL -- Higher flood waters Sunday afternoon and evening have caused damage in east Vail, including the following:

● The bicycle pedestrian bridge at Aspen Court was struck by a large tree and is a total loss. The bike path remains closed.

● There is water damage and unknown dollar loss at the Heathers condominium complex at 5187 Black Gore Drive.

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has added a new summer attraction guaranteed to increase the fun level for thrill seekers.

The park's newest attraction, called the Giant Canyon Swing, hoists passengers over the rim of the Glenwood Canyon, 1,300 feet above the Colorado River, at nearly 50 miles per hour.

And it's got Glenwood Caverns owner Steve Beckley excited to open it up to the public this Saturday.

Vail International Dance

Tickets are now on sale for the Vail International Dance Festival's “Dance for $20.10” performance at Vail's Ford Amphitheater on Aug. 3.



The show features a variety of dance and tickets are just $20.10 for every reserved seat and $10 for general admission lawn seating. Pacific Northwest Ballet, BeijingDance and dancers from the International Evenings of Dance will perform.

2010 Vail Teva Mountain Games

The Vail Valley Foundation is proud to announce that the 9th annual Teva Mountain Games, the nation’s largest outdoor adventure event, will return to Vail, Colorado June 3 – 6, 2010 and is open for registration. After record attendance in 2009, the Games will add two new Stand Up Paddling (SUP) competitions to the roster, along with the triumphant return of the IFSC Bouldering World Cup, which hosts world-renowned climbers at the only World Cup Bouldering event on U.S soil.

Vail Whitewater Park Now Open!

Vail's Whitewater Park at the Gore Creek Promenade in Vail Village is ready for action. Although water levels have not yet reached the preferred 400 cubic feet per second, the town has activated the park to take advantage of rising water levels.

Free demos at the park will begin Tuesday and continue Tuesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. through June 22. The demos are run by Alpine Quest Sports and instructors will be on hand to demonstrate their skills and to show kayakers how to freestyle.

Party For The Planet in Vail Valley

EAGLE — Eagle will hold a party for the environment on Saturday, May 8th.

The party begins with the Eagle Town Cleanup from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by tree planting along Brush Creek from 10 a.m. to noon. The festivities continue from the Dusty Boot to Brush Creek Park and Pavilion in Eagle. Besides vendors and musical entertainment from local bands Hardscrabble and Frogs Gone Fishin', this year features a variety of educational activities for kids and their parents, as well as Recon Recycled Art Exhibit.

Natalie Cole Coming to Beaver Creek


Natalie Cole, daughter of Nat King Cole, will be performing at the Vilar Center, in Beaver Creek, Friday July 2. 

Vail Skate Park


Vail will be re-assembling their skatepark over the next two weeks. 

This will be the fourth year for the seasonal installation located on the top deck of the Lionshead parking garage.  The completion is scheduled for use on May 17th.
